Taikun is our very first game on Cronos zkEVM. We were inspired by the classic trading simulation game, Taipan from 1974. Built on Unity, Taikun offers:
A modernized gameplay experience that combines nostalgia with cutting-edge technology.
A robust economics engine designed to challenge players with random game events.
Engaging features such as leaderboards and an admin panel for community-driven competitions and rewards.
Currently, the game is in Phase 1:
Testing and balancing the economic engine.
Refining the user interface.
Developing additional features, including leaderboard integration, admin panel and payout systems.
Phase 2:
Add additional features to the game (crafting/survival)
Expand Agent capabilities
Onboard Ryoshi Agent to assist with customer service and management of systems
The game’s objective is to maximize profit within a given timeframe, requiring strategic thinking, risk assessment, and quick decision-making.
Travel Between Cities: Players move between cities, where the prices of different coins fluctuate based on local conditions and random events. Each move constitutes a turn, and the game has a set limit on the number of turns, meaning players must strategize efficiently.
Buying and Selling Coins: Players buy coins when prices are low and attempt to sell them in other cities where prices are high. Different coins have varying price ranges and demand, making it essential to predict or react to market changes.
Managing Inventory and Finances: Limited cash and storage capacity mean that players need to prioritize which coins to invest in. Running out of cash or getting stuck with unsellable coins adds a layer of risk management.
Random Events and Encounters: The game introduces risks through random events like ambushes and market volatility. These events can deplete resources, confiscate inventory, or impact the player’s standing.
